How did we get started creating pewter art?

We conceived our idea of “Innovative Artisans” several years ago, experimenting with various media and techniques. In August 2013 we first began creating, showing and selling our pewter art, our debut show being the Metal Art and Craft show at the Reynolds-Alberta Museum, Wetaskiwin, AB in September 2013, followed by an art gala in our local village of Warburg, Alberta. We also took our pewter along to show at Estevan Model Engineering Show in Saskatchewan in October 2013. Since then, our pewter work has been accepted to sell in two Alberta galleries and we are current members of Alberta Craft Council.

Welcome to our website and blog. As Innovative Artisans, we create fine pewter art including decorative bowls, platters and miniatures in our home studio in Alberta, Western Canada. Although our website is a work in progress, check out our photos and blog – we plan to update these regularly with what we are up to, our new designs, and craft shows where our pewter can be purchased. We have links to our Facebook page where we have lots of photos, and also our Pinterest and Twitter pages. If you like what you see in our photos, feel free to “like” us on Facebook, and if you would like to comment or wish to purchase any of our pewter, please email us or come and  meet us in person at one of our shows.
Thanks for stopping by and come back soon  🙂
